On Friday, June 25th, 2021, at approximately 5:30 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a call of a home invasion robbery that had just occurred in the 1600 block of E Tuolumne Rd. The caller reported that seven people, two men and five women, entered her home, immediately began attacking her, and stole several items, including keys to her BMW, which they drove off in.
Officers saturated the area within minutes and began searching for the stolen BMW as well as a GMC SUV, which is what the suspects showed up in. Officers were unable to locate either vehicle. Officers went to the victim’s home to begin investigating. The victim told officers that the seven suspects broke into her home and began beating her, telling her that it was because she had given one of them a counterfeit bill. She then told officers that one of the men went outside to their GMC SUV and got a hammer. He then came inside and swung it at her, striking her at least once causing a non-life threatening injury. Other suspects who were in the home began stealing items, including the victim’s keys to her BMW. The suspects then fled the scene in their own GMC SUV and the victim’s BMW.
Officers are currently in the processing of looking to see if any neighbors have video footage of the incident.
