On Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, at 7:28 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at a residence in the 1000 block of E Linwood Ave, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a gray Ford pickup truck and the other was a gray Honda sedan.
Both vehicles were unoccupied when the collision occurred, however, a woman that had just exited the gray Ford pickup truck was run over by it after she forgot to put it in park. She sustained moderate injuries and was ground transported to a local hospital by American Medical Response.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage and were parked at the scene.
Officers began investigating and determined that the woman had just pulled her vehicle into the driveway of her home and exited it, when it began to roll in reverse after she had forgotten to put it in park. When it began to roll, it struck her as well as the gray Honda sedan which was parked on the side of the road directly in front of her house. The woman’s vehicle then rolled across the street, through a neighbor’s front yard, and then struck that neighbor’s house.
