On Monday, August 9th, 2021, at 2:52 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries in the 2700 block of E Canal Dr, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located two vehicles involved. One was a beige Ford compact SUV and the other was a gray Toyota pickup truck. Crews found that the driver of the beige SUV was having a seizure, unresponsive and had shallow breathing, thus CPR was started after the seizing completed. Crews were able to regain her pulses and she was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital with minor injuries. The gray Toyota was unoccupied and parked on the side of the road.
Officers began their investigation and determined that the beige Ford was traveling northbound on N Daubenberger Rd approaching E Canal Dr, when its driver had a seizure and the vehicle veered into the southbound lane. The vehicle then struck the rear of the gray Toyota before coming to rest in the front yard of a home in the 2700 block of E Canal Dr when colliding with a planter.
