Woman Arrested After Stabbing Ex-Boyfriend During Burglary

At about 4:32am Saturday, Turlock Police responded to a disturbance in progress at a residence in the 600 block of Mitchell Avenue.

The caller reported that her new boyfriend’s recently broken up with ex-girlfriend, later identified as Angelina Esparza, 21, of Waterford, had just come over, forced entry into the residence, and was arguing with her ex. The caller then stated she heard Esparza yelling that she was going to stab her ex.

As Officer Marquez arrived on scene, Esparza took off with the victim’s dog chasing her.

Marquez instead tended to the victim, who turned out to have been stabbed in his left arm.

American Medical Response arrived on scene and treated the victim for his non-life-threatening injury, but he refused to be transported to the hospital.

Officers extensively searched the area for Esparza, but were unable to locate her.

Esparza’s vehicle had been left in the victim’s driveway and was towed away as evidence.

Officer Arroyo completed a probable cause declaration and Esparza was arrested on it by other officers the following day.

Esparza was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of domestic violence inflicting corporal injury, burglary, and assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm.
