At about 1:00am Wednesday, Stanislaus Sheriff’s Deputy Ruezga got out with an occupied suspicious vehicle at Chevron in the 100 block of E. Glenwood Avenue.
Ruezga made contact with and identified the vehicle’s three occupants, including Peter Musovich, 54, of Modesto.
When Ruezga had his dispatcher run Musovich, he discovered he had a $75,000 felony Ramey warrant out of Stanislaus County for two counts of failing to register as a sex offender. He was also on probation for failing to register as a sex offender and buying or receiving a stolen vehicle, and was a sex offender out of compliance for sexual battery.
During a subsequent vehicle search, Ruezga located methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. Musovich later admitted to it being his.
Being that Musovich is a sex offender, possession of methamphetamines which is typically punished as a misdemeanor for anyone else is punished as a felony for him.
Musovich was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as his warrant.
