A suspect was arrested at Turlock’s Walmart on Monday afternoon when he was caught shoplifting and threatened to shoot the security guard detaining him.
Doroteo Gonzalez, 18, was arrested for robbery and possession of paraphernalia.
Gonzalez went to Walmart, located at 2111 Fulkerth Rd., around 3:50 p.m. and allegedly shoplifted an unknown item.
Gonzalez was contacted outside by security, and he threatened to shoot security with a handgun that he claimed he had.
He fled from Walmart and was located a few blocks away by Turlock police.
Police found that he had no weapon when he was located. He was apprehended without further incident.
