On Tuesday, August 4th, 2020, at approximately 12:45 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a report of an injury vehicle collision in front of Javi’s Mexican Restaurant at 118 E Monte Vista Ave. The Turlock Police Department responded along with Stanislaus State Police Department and American Medical Response. The Turlock Fire Department also responded with Battalion 4, Squad 32, and Engine 33.
Engine 33 arrived on scene in just over two minutes of being dispatched. Upon their arrival, they located 2 vehicles blocking the roadway with multiple occupants. Captain 33 assumed Monte Vista command and put Engine 33 in the investigation mode. Other units also began arriving on scene. Squad 32 was cancelled upon arrival and went clear and available. Stanislaus State Police Department provided traffic control until the roadway was cleaned up. American Medical Response transported two patients with minor to moderate injuries. Both vehicles sustained moderate to major damage. There was airbag deployment.
The roadway was cleared at approximately 1:40 pm. Around this time, command was terminated. All units went clear and available.
