On Saturday, July 2nd, 2022, at 11:00 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported hit and run vehicle collision with no injuries in the 3200 block of W Monte Vista Ave, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. One was a white Honda sedan and the other was a black Honda sedan. The white Honda sedan had struck a street light which had brought it down onto the roadway into the far right lane. The black Honda sedan’s driver had originally not stopped, however, he changed his mind and was back at the scene by the time officers had arrived.

Both vehicles had two occupants, neither of which suffered any injuries.

The white Honda sedan had sustained moderate damage and was deemed inoperable as a result of the collision, requiring it to be towed away. The black Honda sedan had sustained minor damage and was able to be driven away from the scene.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.

City crews responded to the scene to conduct repairs to the downed street light.
