Turlock Cold Storage was the site of a liquid ammonia storage tank vapor leak that evacuated an industrial complex and shut down West Main Street Friday afternoon.
A hazmat team secured the South Kilroy Road location and was able to contain the vapor leak.
None of the 1,000 gallons of liquid ammonia being stored in the tank leaked out. The vapor leak was attributed to a damaged valve located at the top of the storage tank.
There have been no reported injuries from the five businesses located in the industrial park or by anyone else. The ammonia vapors could have caused breathing problems if inhaled.
West Main Street was reopened the same night of the incident.
