At about 5:50pm Sunday evening, Turlock Police responded to a reported shoplifting that had just occurred from Walmart, located at 2111 Fulkerth Road.

As Officer Aziz arrived on scene, he learned that there were two suspects, one of whom was cooperating and had stood by with loss prevention, while the other had walked off.

Aziz detained Silvia Gozav, 51, of Sacramento, and took her out to his patrol vehicle. While speaking with her, Arturo Vega, 40, of Sacramento, returned and was also detained.

Through the investigation, it was determined that Grozav and Vega had both stolen from the business, and an employee placed them under citizen’s arrest.

Grozav and Vega were both arrested and released on citations on charges of petty theft.

They were also both trespass admonished from the business.
