Two Arrested While Loitering Outside Convenience Store

At about 11:08pm Thursday, Turlock Police Officer Aziz got out with four suspicious persons outside 7-Eleven in the 2500 block of Geer Road.

Aziz made contact with and identified the four, including Michael Berger, 40, of Modesto, and Desirae Ramirez, 31, of Turlock.

When Aziz had his dispatcher run the four, he discovered Berger had a $10,500 felony bench warrant out of Stanislaus County for forgery, possession of a sedative, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a $10,500 local misdemeanor bench warrant for shoplifting, and Ramirez had a $5,000 local misdemeanor bench warrant for possession of tear gas by a convicted felon or person convicted of an assault crime, falsely identifying to a peace officer, and possession of a controlled substance.

Additionally, Ramirez was restrained from one of the men she was with and both she and Berger were on searchable probation.

Berger and Ramirez were both arrested.

During a search of Ramirez incident to arrest, Aziz located another tear gas weapon, just like from her warrant.

Berger and Ramirez were both booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on their warrants. Ramirez was also charged with possession of tear gas by a convicted felon or person convicted of an assault crime and violating a domestic violence order.
