The Turlock Unified School District Board of Trustees suspended a classified employee without pay in a closed session decision Tuesday night.

The decision was announced as the board emerged from closed session, prior to the public portion of the Board of Trustees meeting. The board said it had unanimously voted to suspend a classified employee without pay.

Classified employees are those who work for the district in non-teacher, non-administrative posts. The employee was not identified by name, but instead as employee No. 23998.

TUSD Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Heidi Lawler said she could not divulge the identity of the employee, or the reason for the suspension.

The duration of the employee’s suspension was not announced.
