On Friday, May 28th, 2021, at approximately 6:35 pm, a Turlock Police officer driving northbound on N Olive Ave was broadsided by a vehicle exiting the parking lot of Birchwood Apartments located at 1000 N Olive Ave.

The involved officer, Officer Sarah Arroyo, did not suffer any injuries as a result of the collision. The other driver also didn’t suffer any injuries, neither did her two juvenile passengers, however, they were checked out by American Medical Response as a precaution. The involved police vehicle was towed away to the city’s corporation yard by Turlock City Tow and the other vehicle was able to be driven way. The driver that was exiting the parking lot was at fault.
