Turlock Police Association to Host 17th Annual Policeman’s Ball

The Turlock Police Association is hosting their 17th Annual Policeman’s Ball on Oct. 3, with all proceeds benefitting the Turlock Police Association, Widow and Orphans Foundation.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis, the Widows and Orphans Foundation began with a mission to care for families who lost an officer in the line of duty, but that soon expanded.

“Soon this was expanded to care for all those suffering tragedy and loss,” said Lewis. “This effort went on to encompass all employees who passed-on after having served the City of Turlock with distinction and dedication.”

The Turlock Police Association has long hosted the Policeman’s Ball as a way to fund the Widows and Orphans Foundation.

“The Executive Board of the Turlock Police Association / Widows & Orphans Foundation has a profound interest in serving the men and women who dedicate their lives to public safety and choose to serve in the community of Turlock,” said Lewis.

Tickets to the 17th Annual Policeman’s Ball, the theme of which is “Pirates of the Caribbean,” are currently on sale.

Before Sept. 19, tickets are $35 per person, or $60 for a couple. Tickets go up to $40 per person and $70 per couple after the Sept. 19 date. Tickets can be purchased at the Turlock Police Department, located at 244 N. Broadway Ave.

The Policeman’s Ball will feature a night of cocktails, dinner and dancing.

The event will be held at the American Civic Assyrian Hall, located at 2618 N. Golden State Blvd., beginning at 6 p.m. on Oct. 3
