In honor of Memorial Day, the Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home will hold its 61st annual Turlock Memorial Day service on Monday morning.
The service will begin with a prelude by the Hilmar Community Band at 9:30 a.m., followed by the actual service at 10 a.m.
Since 1963, the Turlock Memorial Park has held the annual Turlock Memorial Day service to honor and remember those who lost their lives while serving in the military.
Speakers for the 61st annual Turlock Memorial Day service include Turlock City Councilmember Bill DeHart and Admiral Mike Seward of the VFW Post 5059, Turlock.
DeHart will be speaking in place of Mayor John Lazar who will not be in attendance this year. DeHart served nearly 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps.
The Turlock Memorial Day service will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 425 N. Soderquist Rd.
