This Saturday, October 20th, Turlock High School alumnus will be joining together for the first Alumni Baseball Game to benefit the high school’s baseball team scholarship program.
The proceeds from the fundraising event will go to the Turlock High School Booster’s Club, who give away scholarships each year to a graduating senior that can be applied to either a 2-year, or 4-year academic institution.
As of Tuesday, October 16th, close to 40 participants had already signed to play in Saturday’s big game, starting back from the Class of 1973 up to the Class of 2010.
Before the start of the game, alumni can also participate in a Homerun Derby, which will begin at 10:30am. The Alumni Baseball game will begin at noon at the Turlock High School Varsity Baseball Field.
“This is a first time event, and we’re really hoping for a fun and family filled day, and are encouraging players to bring their family and friends to join,” stated Kristin Bettencourt, one of the coordinators for the event. “Come out and cheer them on!”
With various concessions available, music and a barbeque in place, Saturday’s game is sure to be an event full of fun for the entire family.
Prices are $5 to get in at the gate for adults, and free for children under the age of 12.
