The Turlock Police Department has arrested the individual who committed a robbery at the County Bank on October 15, 2008, thanks to the help of the Crime Stoppers Program. The suspect displayed a note and mentioned a gun, although none was seen.
The Turlock Police Investigators received a tip from the Crime Stoppers Program, on December 08, 2008, providing them with a possible identification of the robbery suspect. The suspect was positively identified through the use of a photo lineup, witness description, surveillance video, and other means.
Turlock Police Investigators secured an arrest and search warrant for MARTY ROJAS, 35 years of age, from Modesto, California based on probable cause to believe that this was the individual responsible. On Wednesday, December 17, 2008 the Turlock Police Department executed the search warrant in the 2300 block of Geneva Drive in Modesto, California where ROJAS was located and arrested. He was booked on one count of robbery pursuant to the arrest warrant.
ROJAS is suspected to have been involved in multiple robberies in the Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced County areas. This makes the Crime Stoppers Program Capture # 127 for the Modesto Area.
