The Turlock City Council voted in a closed session late Tuesday night after their regular meeting and included performance evaluations of the Turlock City Manager and Turlock City Attorney. The vote was taken about 11:45 p.m.
Tim Kerr was fired as Ceres’ City Manager in June 2005, and then hired as Turlock’s Interim City Manager in October 2005 after Steve Kyte retired. The Turlock City Council removed “interim” from Kerr’s title on Jan. 20, 2006.
It was a “requirement” that the Turlock City Manager live in Turlock until Kerr was hired. Kerr was not required to move from Modesto to Turlock when he was hired as the permanent manager.
