Charter customers are dealing with an outage affecting multiple areas in the Central Valley, and reportedly throughout California.

Charter representatives have indicated that there have been outages affecting the Turlock area.

One representative on the phone said that there was a problem at the "head end," the central location where all of the equipment is located. For our service area, that was said to be in Turlock.

The outage occurred for Turlockers, and those in the nearby areas, at approximately 1:30 p.m. and appears to be affecting Charter services such as internet and cable.

Charter representatives say that it has crews working to resolve the problem.

Representatives don’t have any estimates for the time when services will be restored, however, with an outage this size, representatives are expecting it to be out for a few more hours.

Long outages with Charter services occurred last year in June and October 2016, and January of this year.
