Mateo Vaughan, a 5 year old boy from Turlock, has had cancer since the age of 2. A tri-tip dinner fundraiser will be held on Friday, May 20th, to help pay for his battle with cancer.
Mateo Vaughan was the Grand-Marshall of this year’s Relay for Life of Turlock, the batboy for THS baseball, and was carried into football games on the players shoulders.
Mateo will be starting school in the fall at Julien Elementary and has just found out that he is cancer free.
Though Mateo is cancer free at the moment, the Vaughan family has medical bills they need help paying. All proceeds from this fundraiser go to the Vaughan family to help pay for these medical bills.
On May 20, 2011, from 4-7pm, Neto’s Drive-thru (1318 Golden State) will be serving a tri-tip sandwich dinner that includes Neto’s famous beans, a bag of chips, a drink, a cookie, and a raffle ticket for a chance to win a golf cart donated by Woody’s Golf Carts.
Tickets are $12 each or 4 for $40 and can be purchased at the door or call Pam (209-606-1418) or Riley (209-648-7863).
