The Turlock Police Department is currently investigating an incident where a female was reported running out into the path of a moving train at Fulkerth and N Golden State Blvd. The train was traveling southbound when the pedestrian was reported to have run out in front of the train and laid down on the railroad tracks.
The pedestrian was hit by the train and is deceased. Her name and age are unknown at this time and the investigation is on going. The initial 911 call was received at approximately 9:38am.

The railroad crossing and intersection are now open to through traffic.
