A train going through Turlock is currently stopped and blocking the railroad crossings at Main Street and other crossings in the city.

As of about 10:35 a.m., traffic is backed-up from multiple crossings to Golden State Boulevard to the east of the train tracks and past First Street to the west.

The railroad crossing at Fulkerth, to the north, is where traffic is being diverted if drivers need to cross the tracks.

There are overpasses at South Golden State Boulevard, to the south, and Taylor Road, to the north.

At the time of this report, the cause of the stopped train is unknown and Union Pacific Railroad has been contacted.

Currently, there is no timetable for when the crossings will be cleared and roads open again.
