THS Head Custodian Honored for 19 Years of Service

Luis Arroyo, a custodian at Turlock High School since 1995, was honored last Tuesday during the Turlock Unified School District Board of Trustees meeting for his nearly 19 years of service.

Arroyo will be retiring at the end of the school year. He began his career as part of the Turlock Adult School Custodial Services in 1994. He was hired full-time at THS in 1995 and was promoted to Head Custodian in 2004 and has held the position since.

“For 19 years Luis has been a dedicated member of the THS community; you could always count on Luis to bring a friendly smile to any assignment,” said THS Principal Marie Peterson. “Luis’ years of service and dedication to THS have been greatly appreciated and we wish him the best as he ventures into retirement.”
