Thieves went to great pains to steal a moving truck filled with $2,500 worth of furniture from Woods Furniture on Taylor Court in Turlock, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A representative from Woods Furniture says surveillance footage shows a small dark black or blue truck pulling up to Woods at 3:19 a.m. Monday morning.
CHP says the thieves entered Woods through the rear of the business and one suspect broke into the moving truck, breaking the right side window. The suspect then hot-wired the truck and drove away, ramming down a locked gate to flee the scene at 3:28 a.m.
CHP Spokesperson Eric Parsons says there is no suspect description at this time.
A Woods representative says the moving truck was found in Modesto later Monday thanks to the observant family member of a Woods employee, however all of the furniture was gone.
Damage to the truck was estimated at $1,800.
