On Monday, people in the CVS parking lot on Geer Road saw Police guns drawn.
At about 4:40pm, on Monday, a Police Officer and SIU investigators made a traffic stop on a vehicle with a known juvenile probationer as a passenger near the CVS at 3100 Geer Road.
Due to facts known at the time, a high-risk stop was conducted where both of the vehicle’s occupants were detained at gunpoint.
During a subsequent probation search, Police and investigators located a loaded handgun with an extended magazine, as well as some additional ammunition.
The juvenile was arrested and booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on charges of carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a handgun by a minor, and possession of live ammunition by a minor.
The driver hadn’t committed any crimes and was released.
Great work, Police Officers and SIU investigators!
