At about 2:20pm Wednesday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s and Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense that had just occurred at a residence in the 900 block of Kenwood Avenue, after several callers had reported hearing about 10 shots in the area.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found that a teenage juvenile had been struck in the rear-end by a round fired by another teen who had been wearing a ski mask and fled in a gray Honda Accord.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was treated for his non-life-threatening injury.
During the subsequent service of a search warrant at the residence, deputies recovered a firearm.
More involved firearms are still believed to be outstanding and no arrests have been made yet.
The investigation remains ongoing.
