At about 10:14pm Thursday, Turlock Police responded to a disturbance in progress at an apartment in the 1200 block of W. Canal Drive.
The caller reported that her son, Angel Juarez, 19, of Turlock, was inside the apartment with his girlfriend, Kristianna Groves, 18, of Turlock, causing a disturbance because she had told him it was Groves’ time to leave.
Officer Ward arrived on scene less than a minute later and contacted Juarez and Groves, both of which he immediately detained in handcuffs, knowing Juarez’s probation status and Groves’ wants.
Juarez was on searchable probation for vandalism and attempted grand theft, while Groves was locally wanted for auto theft.
The week prior Groves had stolen her mother’s vehicle from the 1100 block of Angelus Street and dumped it in a Keyes parking lot.
The investigation revealed that during the disturbance, Juarez had battered someone.
Additionally, two days prior, Juarez and Groves had been involved in another disturbance at the apartment over Groves’ high school graduation.
Juarez and Groves were arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, Juarez for battery and Groves for auto theft.
