At about 2:57pm Friday, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to a hit-and-run with injuries that had just occurred at Vermont Avenue and Spruce Street.
One of the victim vehicle passengers chased the suspect vehicle down the street to a residence in the 300 block of Spruce Street and contacted its driver, who turned out to be a 14-year-old Hispanic boy of Turlock.
Back at the scene, the driver and another occupant of the victim vehicle were injured and transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.
After conducting their investigation, officers contacted the boy their sergeant had been standing by with and arrested him.
The boy was booked into Stanislaus County Juvenile Hall on charges of failing to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death and driving without a valid license.
