At about 3:16am Monday, Turlock Police responded to a traffic collision at Seasons Park Drive and Roberts Road.

The caller reported a vehicle had run a stop sign and driven into the park.

When officers arrived on scene, they found that the vehicle had struck a backflow preventer and water was spewing everywhere, so Turlock Fire was requested.

The vehicle had three occupants, including driver Genevieve Dacquisto, 18, of Turlock, and two juvenile passengers.

One of the juvenile passengers suffered minor injuries in the form of a complaint of pain but refused an ambulance.

While speaking with Dacquisto, Officer Rios noticed she was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence and put her through standardized field sobriety tests.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, Rios determined that Dacquisto was under the influence of alcohol and arrested her.

Dacquisto chose to provide two breath samples at the scene for her chemical test required by California’s implied consent law. She was also issued a driver’s license suspension order, but it was discovered she was already unlicensed.

Rios transported Dacquisto to Doctors Medical Center where she was medically cleared.

Afterward, Dacquisto was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of child abuse or endangerment under circumstances likely to produce great bodily harm or death, driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08% or greater causing injury, and driving without a valid license.

Dacquisto’s vehicle was also towed.
