Teacher Couple/High School Student Sex Crime Case at Plea Deal Stage

Justin Northcutt, 27, and Amy Northcutt, 26, pleaded not guilty to felony charges of “harmful matter sent with intent of seduction of a minor” in October of 2008.

The former Turlock Christian School teachers were scheduled to be back in court on December 17, 2008.

Amy Northcutt had their first child and the Northcutts were granted a postponement.

The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office has offered a plea deal. It is not known what the plea deal details are at this time.

The Northcutts have until June 22, 2009 to consider accepting the deal. If the Northcutts do not accept the deal, a scheduled preliminary hearing has already been set for June 26, 2009.

The preliminary hearing may provide enough evidence that a judge may hold them over for trial.

The couple facing felony charges may be sentenced to prison time and a registered sex offender status.

The felony charge each are facing stem from accusations that the Northcutts allegedly sent text messages and photos enticing group sex with a 16 year old girl who also attended Turlock Christian High School.

The girl was a student of Amy Northcutt. Amy resigned in late May of 2008. Justin Northcutt was a substitute teacher for Turlock
Christian Schools.
