The report of a suspicious vehicle on the morning of April 13 yielded two arrests, as well as a firearm and methamphetamine.
Turlock police responded to the Motel 6, located at 250 S. Walnut Rd., after a citizen reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked near the pool area, with a subject loading property into the vehicle, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
According to Lewis, the witness reported the vehicle as suspicious as there had been a recent burglary in the same room that the property was being taken from.
Officers arrived and located two suspects, Gary Bends, 35, and Marissa Zabala, 25, both who were found to be in possession of methamphetamine, according to the Turlock Police Department.
Additionally, officers found that Bends was in possession of a shotgun.
Bends and Zabala were both arrested for possession of methamphetamine, with Bends additionally being charged with felon in possession of a shotgun.
