A victim was beaten with a crowbar and robbed by two suspects.

One suspect, later identified as Terry Sump, confronted the victim while in the 400 block of Soderquist Road shortly after noon.

According to Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Stephen Webb, Sump and the victim have had issues in the past.

During the confrontation, Sump assaulted the victim with a crowbar and a second victim, later identified as Nicholas White, punched the victim, said Webb.

The two suspects then took the victim’s backpack, said Webb.

Turlock police later arrested Sump for assault with a deadly weapon and robbery and White for robbery.
