A suspect with multiple warrants was arrested Thursday evening after allegedly fleeing from an encounter with a Turlock police officer.
An officer approached a suspect, later identified as Myron Perez, 44, around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday on the 100 block of North Beech Street.
When the officer approached Perez, the suspect allegedly fled from the encounter.
Perez jumped a nearby fence, according to the Turlock Police Department, but the officer was able to catch him after a short foot pursuit.
The officer found that Perez was actively wanted for a parole violation, a warrant for a misdemeanor domestic violence case out of Merced County, and by the Turlock Police Department for resisting arrested and driving with a suspended license.
Perez was also allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
He was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and the multiple warrants.
