On Friday, March 10th, 2023, at 2:02 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a burglary alarm at Alquist Arms, 1400 Freitas Park, Turlock.

The alarm activation indicated that the front door’s glass had been broken and officers found just that upon their arrival.

Officers began investigating, determining that the door led into a vestibule and that access was not able to be made through the second door where the sales floor is.

Two subjects in a nearby vehicle were temporarily detained during the investigation, however, they were eventually released due to a lack of evidence that supported they were involved in the incident.

Officers stood by and waited for a keyholder to respond from a neighboring county to secure the business.
