Turlock police arrested a 20-year-old male for brandishing a loaded firearm following a driving dispute on Thursday afternoon.
At approximately 1:17 p.m. on March 19, a motorist was driving in the area of Canal Drive and Palm Street when another motorist cut them off, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.
The motorist who had been cut off honked at the other vehicle. An occupant of the vehicle then brandished a handgun at the driver of the vehicle that had been cut off, said Lewis.
Turlock police received report of the incident and were able to locate the suspect’s vehicle near Mitchell and Starr avenues in Turlock.
Officers located two subjects inside the vehicle, with another two outside. One of the subjects, later identified as Ismael Arteaga, 20, was positively identified as the brandisher.
Turlock police conducted a consent search of the vehicle and located a loaded handgun.
Arteaga was arrested for multiple weapon related charges, including possession of a concealed firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, and brandishing of a firearm.
