Turlock police arrested a suspect after a witness reported seeing him attempting to break into a vehicle on Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Colorado Avenue at 7:35 a.m. after receiving a report of an attempted vehicle break-in.
The witness had seen a male subject attempting to break into the vehicle, and reported it to the Turlock Police Department.
When officers arrived, they were able to located a male suspect, Chad Lee Goodwin, 34, in the area.
Goodwin originally gave officers a false name, but his real identity was later revealed.
He was arrested for tampering with a vehicle and giving a false name to police officers.
