A semi-truck and trailer were stolen from Turlock this weekend, and later found in Stockton.
The truck, belonging to Todd Murphy, was stolen from its parking spot on Golden State Boulevard sometime between March 7 and March 9.
The truck was recovered in Stockton by California Highway Patrol on March 9 and is now in impounded in Tracy.
The truck suffered damage to the front bumper and was left with only three tires and one rim. The box on the side of the truck was opened, but Murphy’s tools, straps and GPS were not stolen, said Murphy’s sister, Shara Murphy Woods.
It is unknown at this time if anything was stolen from the truck; the owner will do a full inventory tomorrow.
The trailer, which was empty when stolen, was not recovered with the truck, but was found later in the week near Jack Tone Road and Mariposa Road in Stockton. The trailer had minimal damage.
Anyone with information on the theft or location of the trailer is asked to call CHP at 209-826-3811.
