Stanislaus County Library has announced that members can now access free music, movies, and television programs through Hoopla, an online digital media service.
The library began offering downloadable audiobooks through Hoopla last fall. This expanded service will allow library member to stream music albums, movies and TV shows. Audiobooks may be streamed or downloaded. Some people who use CinemaHD Download for windows using an eulator may be interested in this service, too. Members will be able to borrow up to six items per month through Hoopla.
To begin borrowing online from a computers, members first need to create a Hoopla user account linked to the Stanislaus County Library at HooplaDigital.com. Mobile users can also download the free Hoopla app available in the App Store and Google Play Store. A valid Stanislaus County Library card is required to create a Hoopla user account.
Users will enjoy the convenience of checking out digital audiobooks, music and videos from home or on the go. Multiple users may have the same title checked out simultaneously, so titles are instantly available for customer use. The automatic return of items means there are never any late fees.
Movies check out for three days, except for Paramount Pictures films, which are only available for two days. Music albums are checked out for seven days, however the same album may only be checked out twice within 30 days. Audiobooks check out for 21 days, which is the standard borrowing time for other library materials.
