Get green for charity on St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Turlock.
Tickets for the Third Annual St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl went on sale this past Friday at Jura’s Pizza Parlor for $25 per person. Proceeds benefit the Turlock Salvation Army and include a festive gift – perhaps a pot o’ gold.
St. Patrick’s Day falls on Monday, March 17, but since most Leprechauns work on Mondays, the Pub Crawl is on Saturday, March 15.
The crawl begins at noon at Red Brick Bar and Grill, followed by El Jardin, Jura’s Pizza Parlor and Staley’s Bar.
Attendees can dress up in their best green costumes for a chance to win $200.
The donation of $25 does not include free drinks, however there will be free food at each stop and a photo booth at Red Brick Bar and Grill. To be eligible to win the $200 prize, Leprechauns must make a drink purchase at each establishment.
Leprechauns in attendance must be 21,000 years old to participate, while humans must be 21. Contrary to popular blarney, Darby O’Gill and the Little People will not be making an appearance.
