Turlock Harvest Christian Center recently kicked off its “SOLES for SOULS” shoe donation drive, which collects shoes and socks for Turlock Unified School District students in need.

Jennifer Eivaz, wife of Harvest Christian Church Pastor Ron Eivaz, said last year more than 500 pairs of shoes and nearly as many socks were donated to children at TUSD schools.

On her Facebook she posted, “Can we do more? YES! The schools will use all of the shoes…there is that much need.”

“A lot of people in the community are really pulling for these kids. We just wanted to help and we asked TUSD what the needs were and they said shoes,” said Jennifer Eivaz.

Harvest Christian Church request closed toe shoes for boys and girls sizes 10 to 4 as well as socks and underwear.

Donations will be accepted through Sept. 3 at HCC during normal business hours at 130 3rd St in Turlock or at any Starbucks locations.
