Turlock police arrested a Walmart shoplifter on Monday night after he was found in possession of ninja stars.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., officers were called to Walmart, at 2111 Fulkerth Rd., on the report of a shoplifter.

A male subject, Lance Mitchell, 30, had entered Walmart and was seen allegedly concealing arrow tips in the archery section, said Turlock police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis.

Mitchell has reportedly shoplifted from Walmart previously, said Lewis, and typically conceals items in his helmet before fleeing on his motorcycle.

Walmart security was able to detain Mitchell until police arrived.

A search of Mitchell revealed that he was allegedly in illegal possession of Shurikens, also known as ninja stars.

Mitchell was arrested and booked for shoplifting and illegal possession of Shurikens.
