The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed and killed the host of a birthday party shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday.
Deputies responded to a large party on the 3100 block of Barnhart Road near Denair around 12:50 a.m. on the initial report of a stabbing at the party.
The victim, Alejandro Revuelta Maldonado, 21, of Denair, was hosting a birthday party for a friend.
An uninvited guest arrived at the party and Maldonado asked the subject to leave. Maldonado was escorting the subject off the property when a physical altercation allegedly broke out between the two.
During the altercation, Maldonado was allegedly stabbed by the subject.
Maldonado was transported to Emanuel Medical Center where he died from the wounds he sustained in the alleged altercation.
The suspect was described as a white adult male in his 20s with red hair, red beard, standing approximately 5 feet, 6 inches, and weighing approximately 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red baseball hat, red plaid long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and boots. The suspect was spotted leaving the area in an unknown white passenger-style vehicle.
Detectives for the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department are not releasing any further information at this time, but are asking for assistance from the public to identify or locate the suspect.
