At about 1:06am Monday, Turlock Police responded to a security check at Dels Lane and W. Hawkeye Avenue.

The caller reported a man was lying face up on the sidewalk with a beer can, across from the transit center next to the Sunrise Inn back lot.

Officers arrived on scene and located Adam Martinez, 50, of Turlock, exactly where described, still in the same position with a beer can next to his left hand.

It took about two minutes for officers to wake Martinez up.

Once up, Martinez was identified and it was discovered he’s a sex offender for annoying or molesting a child in 2000.

Martinez was obviously under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself.

Martinez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of disorderly conduct.
