Isaac Vaugh, 33, of Riverbank was arrested in Turlock on Wednesday after an anonymous caller spotted him at a Turlock store.
Vaughn was wanted by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department for the alleged murder of Jesus Quintana, 59, on Aug. 5.
Quintana was killed in an alleged physical altercation with Vaughn on the 3700 block of Texas Avenue in Riverbank.
On the night of the alleged murder deputies located Quintana partially clothed and lying in the front yard of the residence. An autopsy was completed and authorities determined the case to be a homicide.
Detectives issued an arrest warrant for Vaughn for the murder of Quintana. Detectives have been questioning witnesses and following leads to locate Vaughn.
On Wednesday night, an anonymous caller had spotted Vaughn at the Walmart Neighborhood Market, located at 2480 Geer Rd., in Turlock.
According to authorities, the caller identified his photo on the Crime Stoppers bulletins.
Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detectives responded to the location and arrested Vaughn, without incident as he left the Turlock store.
Vaughn was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for murder.
Detectives are not releasing any further information on the case or cause of death at this time.
