At about 5:50am Saturday, Turlock Police responded to a traffic collision at S. Golden State Boulevard and E. F Street.

When units arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved.

No one was injured.

While speaking with the driver of one of the vehicles, Casandra Maravilla, 33, of Merced, officers noticed that she was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence. Maravilla was already also suspended for a prior DUI.

Based on the totality of the circumstances, officers determined Maravilla was under the influence of alcohol again and arrested her.

Maravilla chose to provide two breath samples for her chemical test required by California’s implied consent law. Additionally, she was issued a driver’s license suspension order and her vehicle was impounded.

Maravilla was then released on a citation on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI conviction.

It’s currently unknown how the collision occurred.
