On Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at 9:39 pm, the Turlock Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigation Unit, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported structure fire at a residence in the 3000 block of Linfield Ct, Turlock.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found light smoke coming from the detached garage of the single-story single-family dwelling.

Upon making entry into the garage, firefighters located a refrigerator that had someone caught fire. Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the fire and keep it contained.

American Medical Response treated one patient for minor smoke inhalation.

The Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric Company responded to the scene to secure utilities, while the Modesto Fire Department provided city coverage for the duration of the incident.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
