At about 10:06pm Tuesday, Turlock Police responded to a city ordinance violation at Denair Park in the 800 block of E. Main Street.

Chief Hedden had requested officers respond there and remove transients from the park, who were violating the Turlock Municipal Code by being at a public park between the hours of 10pm and 6am.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted three individuals, including Rudy Flores, 56, of Merced.

When officers had their dispatcher run the three, they discovered Flores was on searchable probation for possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

During a subsequent probation search of Flores, officers discovered methamphetamines.

Flores was arrested and released on a citation on charges of being at a public park outside hours and possession of methamphetamines.

The other two individuals were lectured and released.
