An auto burglar on probation was arrested early Saturday morning after a police officer caught him in the act.
A Turlock police officer patrolling the 200 block of South Center Street around 6:08 a.m. allegedly witnessed a subject, later identified as Sean Rigney, 24, get into an unlocked car.
Rigney was allegedly rummaging around in the vehicle and collected several CDs before being contacted by the officer.
When the officer contacted Rigney, he found that Rigney was in possession of methamphetamine and in violation of his probation.
Rigney was arrested for attempted theft, possession of methamphetamine, and violation of probation.
