A parolee was arrested Saturday night after he fled from Turlock police on foot.
Turlock police came across a suspect, Edward Taylor, 34, near the intersection of Wayside Drive and North Palm Street around 9 p.m., said Turlock police spokesperson Sgt. Russell Holeman.
Taylor was wanted for a parole violation, but it is unknown at this time what the violation was.
When Taylor saw police, he fled from officers on foot, said Holeman.
After a short foot pursuit in the area, officers were able to apprehend Taylor.
Taylor was arrested and booked for resisting arrest, his parole violation, and possession of heroin, said Sgt. Holeman.
