On Friday, June 9th, 2023, at 7:29 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported larceny that had just occurred at a residence in the 1500 block of East Ave, Turlock.

The caller reported that she was following a man that had just stolen mail from her residence and that he was at Quaile Rand Norton Park.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and contacted a man who identified himself as Oscar Vasquez, 29, of Turlock.

When officers had their dispatcher run Vasquez, they discovered that he had two felony bench warrants. The first was a $100,500 one out of Stanislaus County for bringing or sending a controlled substance or paraphernalia for such into a jail or prison, while the second was a no-bail one for violation of parole.

Vasquez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.

The disposition of the larceny is currently unknown, however, there was no arrest made for it.
